Palestine’s upgrade to "observer state" status welcomed
Ramallah, June 6 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the upgrade of Palestine's status to "observer state" at the International Labour Organization (ILO).
In a statement, the Ministry expressed satisfaction with the historic decision of the ILO to upgrade Palestine’s membership from a "national liberation movement" to a "non-member observer state", despite the occupiers’ attempts to block the decision.
The Ministry appreciated the positions of the countries that openly supported the decision, and called on those who did not support it and isolated themselves with negative votes to reconsider their positions and join the moral majority aligned with international law.
