Ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah comes into effect
Washington, June 19 (Hibya) - A US official announced that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire to halt hostilities, with the process beginning at 4:00 p.m. local time.
According to Reuters, a senior US official announced that a ceasefire has been reached between Israel and Hezbollah.
The official stated that the parties agreed on a ceasefire that came into effect on Friday at 4:00 p.m. local time. The statement noted that negotiators in the United States and Qatar contributed to the process, while Iran also took part in the contacts.
The official further said that following the reciprocal attacks earlier in the day, the parties agreed to move to a ceasefire and that the process aimed at stopping the hostilities has begun.
