Cooperation agreement between Tanzania and Belarus
Dar es Salaam, April 28 (Hibya) – Tanzania and Belarus agreed to expand cooperation in diplomatic, economic, and technological fields.
The governments of Tanzania and Belarus reached an agreement to expand cooperation in diplomatic, economic, and technological areas.
The agreement was reached on April 28, 2026, in Dar es Salaam during a meeting between Tanzania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Mahmoud Thabit Kombo and Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to enhance cooperation in strategic sectors, particularly agriculture, energy, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. They also discussed supporting productivity and economic growth through the use of modern technologies and increased knowledge sharing.
The parties emphasized the importance of reducing bureaucratic barriers and improving mechanisms for the implementation of joint projects in order to enhance the business and investment environment.
The ministers reiterated their commitment to deepening relations between the two countries through investment, technology transfer, and economic cooperation.
