Digital Crime Fighting Forum held in Sofia
Sofia, October 22 (Hibya) – An international forum focusing on combating crime in the digital sphere has begun in Sofia, with the participation of directors from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European Financial and Economic Crime Centre (EFECC), and 270 experts from around the world.
The international forum, dedicated to combating crime in the digital field, was inaugurated in Sofia with the participation of EUIPO, EFECC, and global experts.
Bulgarian Interior Minister Daniel Mitov welcomed the participants at the opening of the 7th International Intellectual Property Enforcement Conference titled “From Click to Crime: Investigating Intellectual Property Crimes in the Digital Age,” held on October 22–23, 2025.
This year, the forum is hosted by Bulgaria’s General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDBOP).
Minister Mitov thanked Europol, the EUIPO, and GDBOP for their contributions to the event, emphasizing that hosting the conference in Bulgaria reflects the country’s high achievements and recognized professionalism in combating organized crime.
