Dutch Prime Minister Schoof concludes visit to Aruba
Amsterdam, May 11 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated that his visit to Aruba has come to an end.
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said his visit to Aruba has ended.
Schoof noted that he first visited a local vineyard and chicken farm with Minister Geoffrey Wever and shared the following about his trip:
"Despite the challenging climate, they have succeeded in growing grapes on a commercial scale here. This is an impressive example of entrepreneurship. Our next stop was Horacio Oduber Hospital, the most important hospital in Aruba. Together with Minister Mervin Wyatt-Ras, we toured the hospital and received a presentation from the Crisis Management Office responsible for emergency response on the island. Finally, I visited the Aruba Correctional Institute, the local prison. Alongside Minister of Justice Arthur Dowers, we toured the prison, discussed current conditions, the challenges faced, and how to address them. I sincerely thank the people of Aruba for their hospitality."
