European Parliament President Metsola: Belarus will be free
Brussels, October 22 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola welcomed Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsihanouskaya and her husband Sergey Tikhanovski to the European Parliament.
Metsola stated on social media that Tsihanouskaya and Tikhanovski are a strong symbol of the struggle and resilience for a democratic Belarus.
Using the phrase “Belarus will be free,” Metsola reiterated the European Parliament’s support for the Belarusian people’s demands for democracy, freedom, and human rights.
