Geneva, April 24 (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that since the 1970s, more than 150 million lives have been saved through vaccination against diseases such as measles, diphtheria, whooping cough, and polio.
Ghebreyesus emphasized that more than 150 million lives have been saved since the 1970s thanks to vaccines protecting against measles, diphtheria, whooping cough, and polio.
He noted that this number translates to over 4 million lives saved annually, and stated: “With vaccination for all, everything is possible.”
