New York, June 3 (Hibya) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres issued a statement regarding the detention of UN personnel, civil society representatives, diplomatic mission staff, and NGO workers by the de facto Houthi administration in Yemen.

Guterres noted that June marks one year since these individuals were arbitrarily detained and said, “I stand in solidarity with all our detained colleagues.”
He reiterated his call for the immediate and unconditional release of all those detained.
