Trump held a phone call with Putin
Washington, June 4 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump stated they discussed Ukraine’s attack on Russian docked aircraft and various other attacks by both sides. “It was a good conversation, but not one that would immediately lead to peace,” he said. President Putin made it very clear he would have to respond to the recent airport attacks. They also discussed the Iran issue.
President Trump emphasized that Iran’s decision-making time on nuclear weapons is running out and that an urgent decision is necessary: “I told President Putin that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons, and I believe we agree on this. Putin said he could join the talks with Iran and help conclude the process quickly. In my view, Iran is stalling this extremely important decision, and we will need a definitive answer very soon.”
