Harris: The European Union must show leadership
Dublin, May 11 (Hibya) – Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defence, and Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris stated that the EU-Israel Partnership Agreement contains provisions related to human rights.
Minister Harris noted that the agreement specifies that relations must be based on respect for human rights.
He added, “These words must have meaning. The agreement should be reviewed. The world is currently far from what is needed. The European Union must show leadership.”
