IDF: 80% decrease in number of attacks since last year
Jerusalem, April 2 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Shin Bet, and Border Police arrested 401 people in counter-terrorism operations across the Central Command area.
According to a statement from the IDF, the IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police conducted operations throughout the Central Command region to combat terrorism and strengthen defense efforts. As part of the operation, 401 suspects were arrested, 13 terrorists were neutralized, and 105 weapons were seized.
During the month of Ramadan, 27 major terrorist attacks originating from Judea and Samaria occurred – 22 in Samaria and 5 in Judea.
This year, there was a significant drop in the number of attacks. Due to intensive counter-terrorism activity in Judea and Samaria and ongoing operations in northern Samaria, only three major terrorist attacks occurred during Ramadan.
