IDF: Targeted ground operations are being carried out in southern Lebanon
Tel Aviv, March 29 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a group of armed individuals identified during ground operations in southern Lebanon was neutralized following an airstrike.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared updated information regarding its operational activities in southern Lebanon.
The statement said that targeted ground operations aimed at expanding the security zone in the area are ongoing.
Regarding the details of the operation, the IDF stated:
"Reserve forces of the 769th Brigade Combat Team, under the command of the 91st Division, are conducting targeted ground operations to expand the security zone in southern Lebanon. During one of the operations in the area, intelligence teams of Unit 869 identified several armed terrorists entering a building in the area."
The IDF reported that security forces neutralized the militants by directing an Air Force aircraft that struck the building the individuals had entered.
