Intensive diplomatic activity by Azerbaijan in Antalya
Antalya, April 18 (Hibya) – Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with officials from Yemen, Rwanda and NATO within the scope of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, discussing cooperation and regional security.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Bayramov held a series of diplomatic engagements on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In his meeting with Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Bayramov discussed strengthening political dialogue and cooperation. The parties evaluated opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture and humanitarian aid. The humanitarian situation in Yemen and regional security developments were also discussed.
The Azerbaijani minister also met with Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, exchanging views on the development of bilateral relations.
As part of his contacts, Bayramov also met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Partnerships and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Kevin Hamilton, where strengthening Azerbaijan-NATO relations was discussed. Long-term cooperation within the Partnership for Peace Program, energy security and joint efforts to protect critical infrastructure were evaluated.
The parties also exchanged views on the normalization process with Armenia, reconstruction efforts in liberated areas and steps toward achieving lasting peace. Reducing tensions in the Middle East and global security threats were among the key topics.
It is expected that these diplomatic contacts will significantly contribute to expanding Azerbaijan’s network of cooperation at both regional and international levels.
