Iranian FM Araghchi holds phone call with UN Secretary-General Guterres
Tehran, May 3 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
FM Araghchi spoke with Guterres by phone to discuss recent regional and international developments, including ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the UN.
During the call, Araghchi briefed Guterres on the current status of Iran-U.S. talks and Oman’s efforts to facilitate the next round of negotiations.
He added that the contradictory actions and statements of U.S. officials, as well as continued sanctions and threats against the Iranian people, have increased distrust and skepticism regarding Washington's seriousness about diplomatic progress.
