Israeli President Herzog visited Metula residents
Jerusalem, March 21 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog praised the determination and patriotism of Metula residents he met in Jerusalem, underscoring the resolve to restore peace and security in the region.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog met with Metula residents and veterans who are being temporarily hosted in Jerusalem through the initiative of Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon and Metula Council Head David Azoulay.
Speaking after the meeting, Herzog said, “To understand what true resilience is, a short conversation with the residents of Metula would be enough.”
Herzog stated, “We spoke with them about this complex struggle, listened to the various challenges, and above all, felt the enthusiasm, determination, and deep love they have for Metula and for our north.”
Emphasizing that security in the border areas is a priority, President Herzog said, “The goal of the campaign we are carrying out is for the residents of Metula and all the residents of our country to reach days of peace, security, and tranquility as soon as possible.”
