Italian Prime Minister Meloni: Today, Italy celebrates the 80th anniversary of Liberation
Rome, April 25 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni released a message on the occasion of Italy’s 80th Liberation anniversary.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni shared a message on the occasion of the country’s 80th Liberation anniversary.
In her message, Meloni said: “Today, Italy celebrates the 80th anniversary of Liberation. On this special day, the nation honors its regained freedom and reaffirms the central importance of democratic values — values that were denied by the fascist regime but have been enshrined in the Republic’s Constitution for 77 years. Democracy draws its strength and vitality from respect for others, dialogue, and freedom – not from oppression, hatred, or the denial of a political opponent’s legitimacy. Today, we renew our effort to make this anniversary a moment of national reconciliation in the name of freedom and democracy, against all forms of totalitarianism, authoritarianism, and political violence.”
