Lazzarini: Israel continues to block the entry of food and essential supplies
New York, April 25 (Hibya) – UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that the Israeli government continues to block the entry of food and other essential supplies into Gaza.
Commissioner-General Lazzarini noted that children are dying of hunger in Gaza. In his statement, he said: "The Israeli government continues to block the entry of food and essential supplies. This is a man-made famine, perpetuated for political reasons. The siege has been ongoing for nearly two months. Calls for allowing humanitarian aid in have gone unanswered."
