Kremlin: Putin and Trump held a phone call
Moscow, March 9 (Hibya) – The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States (US) President Donald Trump held a phone conversation. The conflicts around Iran and the resolution process in Ukraine were discussed during the call.
According to a statement from the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with US President Donald Trump. Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that the conversation took place at Trump’s initiative.
Ushakov said the discussion focused on the conflicts surrounding Iran and the resolution process in Ukraine. It was noted that the leaders exchanged important and useful views on the situation in Iran.
It was reported that Putin raised several points regarding a swift political and diplomatic resolution to the conflict around Iran during the conversation. It was also noted that Putin praised the mediation efforts of the United States and President Trump in resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
The Kremlin said the conversation took place in a businesslike, sincere and constructive atmosphere.
