Lahbib: Access to violence-affected areas in Suwayda remains difficult
Brussels, July 30 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said that access to areas affected by violence in Suwayda, south of Damascus, continues to face difficulties.
Lahbib noted that EU humanitarian partners, especially the World Food Programme (WFP), have stepped up efforts to meet the needs of the local population.
"We reiterate our call to all parties to ensure safe and continuous delivery of humanitarian aid in southern Syria," she said.
