Paris, May 9 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.

Macron said he welcomed Trump's clear call this morning, like that of British and Scandinavian partners, for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire.
"We must all act in this direction without delay, without insincerity or stalling maneuvers. Ukraine has already shown for almost two months that it accepts this ceasefire. Now I expect Russia to take the same step. Otherwise, we will be ready to respond resolutely, together with all Europeans and in close coordination with the United States."
