Macron: There can be no negotiations while weapons are speaking
Kyiv, May 11 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron stated that negotiations cannot take place while fighting continues.
French President Emmanuel Macron, speaking from Kyiv alongside US President Donald Trump, announced that they had made a clear proposal for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire starting Monday.
Macron said President Zelensky had accepted the proposal without any conditions and added: “We expect an equally clear response from Russia. There can be no negotiations while weapons are speaking. There is no dialogue while civilians are being bombed. A ceasefire is now necessary to start negotiations.”
