Meeting held on the Ukraine-EU agenda
Kyiv, July 9 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with European Commission Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha held a meeting with EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos regarding the Ukraine-EU agenda.
Emphasizing that EU enlargement is the best investment in European security and stability, Sybiha said: “Opening negotiations on clusters, especially lifting the block in Cluster 1, is of critical importance. I stressed that no single country should be able to sabotage this process.”
Sybiha added that the focus was also on increasing pressure on Russia: “Proper implementation and further strengthening of sanctions is vital to deprive Russia of the resources needed for war. The upcoming 18th package is expected to demonstrate the full potential of the EU’s sanctions pressure.”
