Merz: Russia’s attacks are preventing the war from ending
Berlin, April 14 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Russia’s continued attacks on Ukraine are making it harder for the war to come to an end.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made statements regarding Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
Merz said, “Russia’s attacks on Ukraine are preventing the war from ending,” emphasizing that the European Union and NATO must accelerate their defense efforts.
Stating that more diplomatic contacts are needed to achieve peace, Merz said, “We will make efforts for more talks to be held for a peace plan.”
Merz also noted that support for Ukraine would continue as part of this process, adding, “This also includes continuing to support Kyiv against Russian aggression.”
