NSC Leader Pieter Omtzigt quits politics
Amsterdam, April 18 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof announced that Pieter Omtzigt, the leader of the New Social Contract Party (NSC), has quit politics.
Prime Minister Schoof stated that Pieter Omtzigt's decision to resign from the leadership of the party and the MGK parliamentary seat was a brave but sad one.
Schoof said that The Hague had lost a passionate and enthusiastic representative of the people. "I thank him for his efforts and our cooperation during the past period. Even after his departure, the ideology of MGK will continue to be integrated into the government's policy. On behalf of the entire cabinet, I wish Pieter the rest he deserves to recover," said Schoof.
