Pakistani and Canadian foreign ministers discuss bilateral economic relations
Islamabad, October 31 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion focused on strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries, particularly exploring cooperation opportunities in the agriculture, mining, and minerals sectors. Cooperation under the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA) was also reviewed.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anand thanked Pakistan for providing market access for Canadian-origin canola exports.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with recent constructive engagements, reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial economic cooperation, and agreed to continue their contacts.
