During the meeting, they discussed Albania’s progress in the EU accession process, the situation in the Western Balkans, and ways to further enhance the growing trade cooperation between the two countries.

President Pavel emphasized that EU enlargement is a long-term priority for Czechia and expressed his support for Albania’s goal of advancing swiftly in the accession process. He added that Albania’s commitment to aligning with the EU’s common foreign and security policy and implementing sanctions against Russia clearly demonstrates its intention to be part of the European community.
