Putin announces readiness for unconditional negotiations with Kyiv
Moscow, April 26 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed during a meeting with U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steven Witkoff that the Russian side is ready for negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that during his meeting with Donald Trump’s envoy Stephen Witkoff, Vladimir Putin reiterated Moscow’s readiness to pursue the negotiation process with Kyiv without preconditions.
Peskov recalled that "Putin had mentioned this many times before."
Earlier, the Russian president had specifically proposed to discuss bilaterally with the Ukrainian side the issue of avoiding strikes on civilian targets.
