Touma: 50,000 children killed or injured in 20 months
New York, June 2 (Hibya) – Juliette Touma, Director of Communications for the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), stated that 50,000 children have been killed or injured over a span of 20 months.
In a statement regarding Gaza, Touma said that 50,000 boys and girls have been killed or injured in just 20 months.
She noted that civilians — including children, humanitarian and health workers, first responders, and journalists — continue to be killed and injured in the Gaza Strip. “No one is safe in Gaza, no one is spared, nowhere is safe,” Touma said.
