Qatar welcomes intention to lift sanctions on Syria
Doha, May 13 (Hibya) – The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s intention to lift sanctions imposed on Syria.
In a statement, the ministry expressed satisfaction with President Trump’s intention to lift sanctions on Syria.
The statement described this intention as an important step towards supporting stability and prosperity in a new Syria. “The Ministry also reiterates the State of Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and the Syrian people's aspirations for security, stability, and development,” the statement added.
