Rutte: A stronger Europe means a stronger NATO
Brussels, April 16 (Hibya) – NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that he discussed with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen steps to strengthen core NATO-EU cooperation in defense industry production and support for Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the importance of the defense industry and the protection of infrastructure.
Speaking about enhancing the partnership, Rutte said: “I am pleased to discuss with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen how we can further strengthen our core cooperation between NATO and the EU, including increasing defense industry production, continuing vital support for Ukraine, and protecting critical infrastructure.”
Highlighting the impact on global security, Rutte stated: “A stronger Europe means a stronger NATO.”
