Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez shared a condolence message regarding the incident.
In his message, Sanchez said: "I send all my love to the family and friends of the woman who was murdered as a victim of gender-based violence in La Rioja. We reaffirm our condemnation and rejection of every murder. Once again, I call for unity and determination to end this structural violence."
