Selling pressure increases in European markets
Most major indices in European markets declined. The DAX fell 1.17 percent, the CAC 40 dropped 0.79 percent, the IBEX 35 lost 0.34 percent and the Euro Stoxx 50 declined 1.07 percent.
The UK 100 index rose 0.25 percent, while the Italy 40 index lost 0.07 percent.
Selling also dominated shares of leading European companies. Deutsche Bank fell 0.70 percent, Deutsche Telekom declined 0.49 percent and Commerzbank dropped 0.72 percent, while Mercedes-Benz Group rose 0.59 percent. Scout24 shares fell 0.81 percent.
In European markets, the euro/dollar pair fell 0.09 percent to 1.1606, while gold declined 0.15 percent to $4,474.99.
