Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha met with U.S. Secretary of State Rubio during the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in France.

Sybiha stated that the United States plays a critical role in peace efforts and that Ukraine’s proposals are realistic and feasible. He emphasized that pressure on Russia must be increased to end the war.

The parties also discussed developments in the Middle East. Sybiha said that the administrations in Moscow and Tehran are acting together to prolong the war and that joint pressure should be applied to both countries.

Sybiha noted that Ukraine’s concrete support to Gulf countries against Iran-origin threats demonstrates its role as a security partner and stressed that Russia’s aggression against Ukraine must remain high on the international agenda.
