Sybiha compared the arrest of nearly 20,000 anti-war demonstrators in Russia to the arrest of approximately 800,000 people in Nazi Germany for similar reasons. He stressed that this situation poses a serious problem for the social and political environment in Russia.

He emphasized that Russia must be held responsible — both at the state and individual levels — for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide committed against civilians, children, and various ethnic groups.

Sybiha, marking the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal, called on the international community to provide broad support to ensure accountability for Russia and its criminals. He noted that justice could be pursued through national judicial mechanisms, the International Criminal Court, and a Special War Crimes Tribunal.

Sybiha added, “Once justice is ensured for Russia’s crimes and its grave crimes against peace, Europe’s moral foundation can be restored, and it can be guaranteed that such horrific events will never happen again.”
