EU opens the final negotiation cluster with Albania
Strasbourg, 17 November (Hibya) – The European Union (EU) has opened the final negotiation cluster with Albania, covering resources, agriculture and cohesion policies.
At the Seventh Accession Conference between the EU and Albania, the last negotiation cluster – Cluster 5: Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion – was officially opened. This cluster includes key areas such as agriculture and fisheries, food safety and cohesion policies.
The EU will continue to closely monitor Albania’s progress in aligning with the EU acquis and implementing the relevant European standards.
Additionally, the EU has defined the necessary criteria for the temporary closure of the chapters included in Cluster 5. The Accession Conference will reassess progress within this cluster at an appropriate time.
