Sybiha: We will continue to work in close cooperation with the EU
Kyiv, April 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the European Union’s (EU) approval of a €90 billion financial support package for Ukraine and the adoption of the 20th sanctions package against Russia.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized the importance of the agreement reached by EU member states after prolonged negotiations in terms of Ukraine’s defense capacity and regional stability.
Highlighting the timing and impact of the decision, Sybiha stated, “I welcome the EU’s decision to remove obstacles to financial support for Ukraine and to adopt the 20th sanctions package against Russia.”
Sybiha added, “This is an important contribution to strengthening our resilience and the security of Europe as a whole.”
Noting that cooperation will continue for the peace process, Sybiha said, “We will continue to work closely with the EU to further increase pressure on the aggressor and to ensure lasting peace for Ukraine.”
