Tanzania participated in efforts to strengthen copyright protection in Paris
Paris, June 4 (Hibya) - Tanzania discussed its efforts to protect copyright, address artificial intelligence challenges, and support the creative economy at the CISAC Africa Regional Committee meeting held in Paris.
Tanzania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the country participated in an important international meeting as part of its efforts to strengthen copyright protection across Africa and safeguard creative industries.
A delegation from the Copyright Society of Tanzania (COSOTA) took part in the CISAC Africa Regional Committee meeting held in Paris, France, on June 1–2, 2026.
The meeting addressed topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on copyright, systems for the registration and verification of creative works, and the management of royalty revenues.
The Tanzanian delegation also met with the country's Embassy in Paris to brief officials on the outcomes of the meeting and conveyed a message of cooperation aimed at developing the creative economy.
