Trump on the Strait of Hormuz: No transit fees for 60 days
Washington, June 20 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump said that no transit fees will be charged in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days during the ceasefire period, adding that new arrangements could be introduced if an agreement is not reached.
Trump shared his assessment regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
He stated that no transit fees would be charged in the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days throughout the ceasefire period.
Trump also said that after the 60-day period ends, if the agreement is not finalized, a new fee structure could be introduced to compensate for past, current, and future expenses related to “protective services” provided to Middle Eastern countries.
At the end of his statement, Trump thanked everyone for their interest in the matter.
