Tsahkna: A special court for the crime of aggression against Ukraine must become operational
Tallinn, October 21 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated on social media that the Council of Europe’s support for Ukraine is of vital importance.
Tsahkna announced that the agreement between the Council of Europe and Ukraine on establishing a “Special Court for the Crime of Aggression” has been signed and ratified.
Referring to his phone conversation yesterday with Council of Europe Secretary-General Alain Berset, the minister said: “I emphasized the urgent need to take concrete steps to make the court operational.”
In his statement, Tsahkna stressed the importance of accountability, saying: “Those responsible for the crime of aggression against Ukraine must be brought to justice.”
