Tsahkna congratulates Moldova, Romania and Ukraine
Tallinn, November 7 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna congratulated Moldova, Romania and Ukraine on their election to UNESCO’s Executive Board.
Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna stated that UNESCO had elected three new members to its Executive Board and congratulated Moldova, Romania and Ukraine.
He noted that it was significant that Russia, responsible for the widespread destruction of Ukraine’s cultural heritage — including architecture, monuments, schools and civilian life — was not elected, calling it “a victory in the name of culture and justice.”
