Tsahkna: One in three women in Europe experiences physical or sexual violence
Tallinn, 25 November (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that one in three women in Europe is subjected to physical or sexual violence.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna noted that he opened the diplomatic reception held on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Tsahkna stated that one in three women in Europe is subjected to physical or sexual violence, and that one in five women experiences domestic violence.
He added: “Combating violence against women and promoting gender equality are core objectives of Estonia’s human rights diplomacy.”
