Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha in Ankara
Ankara, May 14 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Minister Sybiha thanked Fidan for the invitation and shared recent developments on the battlefield and in the diplomatic arena.
Sybiha emphasized that Turkey has now become the epicenter of global diplomacy and is playing an active mediating role, stating: “I reiterated Ukraine’s commitment to peace, our readiness for a full and lasting ceasefire immediately and unconditionally, and our offer for direct high-level talks between Ukraine and Russia.”
Sybiha stressed that Putin should not reject a ceasefire or avoid meeting with President Zelensky, adding: “We had a comprehensive conversation about advancing a meaningful peace process. I’m grateful to my colleague for his support and valuable insights.”
