Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha: The EU shows unity and strength
Kyiv, October 23 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the European Union’s approval of the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
Foreign Minister Sybiha said that the EU demonstrates unity and strength, welcoming the approval of the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
He noted that the adoption of the package was a timely and strong response to Russia’s rejection of peace and escalation of terror: “Targets include the energy and banking sectors, the military-industrial complex, the ‘shadow fleet,’ and individuals and companies that help evade sanctions and support the production of drones and missiles.”
Sybiha emphasized that sanction pressure remains crucial for countering Russian aggression and defending international law:
“Sanctions are working and limiting Russia’s ability to continue the war. Together with the United States’ decisive actions, they bring peace even closer. We are now preparing the 20th package with the EU.”
