UNRWA: In Gaza, children are not looking for toys or pencils, they’re looking for water
New York, April 9 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) made a statement about children in Gaza.
The UNRWA reported that children in northern Gaza are not searching for toys or pencils – they are searching for water.
In its statement, UNRWA said: "They don’t go to school; they push carts to find something to quench their thirst. It has been more than five weeks since aid and commercial goods were stopped due to the blockade imposed by Israel. Clean water, food, shelter, and medical care have become increasingly scarce. The impact on children is devastating."
