UNRWA: Only we can deliver the life-saving aid Gaza needs at this scale
New York, October 13 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) called for the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, urging that the blocked supplies be allowed to reach the area without delay.
In its statement, UNRWA said: “We are the only organization capable of delivering life-saving aid to Gaza at the required scale. We have the necessary network, experience, and the trust of the community.”
The statement also called on the State of Israel to allow the entry of large quantities of humanitarian aid that have been waiting in warehouses in Jordan and Egypt since March 2.
UNRWA added: “Give us the opportunity to do our job. The delivery of aid that will save civilian lives in Gaza must not be obstructed.”
