UNRWA: Schools in Gaza have become safe shelters for displaced families
New York, October 31 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip continues and that the agency remains the main provider of support in the region.
The statement said that thousands of displaced families have taken refuge in UNRWA schools, which have been turned into temporary shelters.
UNRWA added that social workers continue their efforts to provide protection, psychosocial support, and hope, aiming to help people rebuild their lives with dignity.
