UNRWA: Urgent need for blood units for life-saving surgeries
New York, April 18 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced an urgent need for blood units for surgeries.
UNRWA stated that there is an urgent need for blood units to carry out life-saving surgeries.
The statement noted that attacks and the blockade in Gaza continue: "UNRWA teams are leading a blood donation campaign at UNRWA health points in southern Gaza. Both staff and patients have donated blood for local hospitals. Health facilities continue to be targeted and medical supplies are running out."
