Von der Leyen: We discussed ways to further expand our cooperation
Brussels, September 7 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen met with Faroe Islands Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen and discussed expanding cooperation between the two sides.
In a statement regarding the meeting, von der Leyen said that the partnership between the European Union and the Faroe Islands spans a broad range of areas, from trade and foreign policy to education and research.
Von der Leyen said the partnership is strong and diverse, adding: "We discussed ways to further expand our cooperation. We also discussed working together for security and prosperity in the Arctic region."
