Wadephul: Nuclear weapons are unacceptable
New York, April 28 (Hibya) – German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul criticized Iran’s regional attacks and possible blockade attempts in the Strait of Hormuz during talks in New York, emphasizing firm opposition to nuclear armament.
German Foreign Minister Wadephul held a meeting in New York with Argentine official Pablo Quirno.
Following the meeting, Wadephul stated that both sides agreed Iran must halt its regional attacks and end any potential blockade attempts in the Strait of Hormuz. He also stressed that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
Addressing the economic agenda, Wadephul noted that the EU-MERCOSUR trade agreement, which has entered into force between Argentina and the European Union, will bring the parties closer together. He said the agreement would boost trade and investment, contributing to economic growth on both sides.
The German minister also described Argentina as a “strong and reliable partner” in diversifying and strengthening supply chains.
