Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The White House released a statement ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to Alaska regarding the administration’s economic, energy, security and military investments in the state.

The October 13, 2026 statement said the Trump administration had focused on tax cuts in Alaska, development of oil and natural gas resources, support for the fishing industry, strengthening local security and increasing military capacity in the Arctic region.

The White House said about 14,000 Alaska workers had benefited from the tax provision on tip income, while the new senior deduction covered about 100,000 people. The statement said the average tax refund in Alaska in 2026 was $3,690 and that the state had received about $272 million for the first year under a program for rural healthcare services.

The administration also claimed that the tax provisions had preserved 11,000 jobs in Alaska, $2 billion in the state’s gross domestic product and $1 billion in worker wages.

According to the statement, the administration provided $150 million in funding in October 2026 for a new electricity transmission line project under the Defense Production Act. The project is intended to reduce energy costs for 75 percent of Alaska’s population.

The White House said the $200 billion South Korean investment announced in September 2026 was aimed at the U.S. energy sector and included $54 billion for the construction of a new natural gas pipeline in Alaska.

The statement said about 82 percent of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska had been reopened to oil and natural gas leasing, 1.56 million acres in the Coastal Plain had been opened to such activities in October 2025, and the Ambler Road Project had been approved. The project is intended to facilitate access to areas containing critical minerals such as copper, cobalt, gallium and germanium.

The White House said Alaska’s groundfish fishing seasons had been opened on time, preserving activities worth $301.1 million for Gulf of Alaska fisheries and $2.64 billion for Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands fisheries.

The statement said more than $4 million in grants had been provided to organizations supporting veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and that a new outpatient clinic had opened in Anchorage.

Regarding crime data in the state, the statement said the homicide rate fell by 13 percent last year, while total crime incidents in Juneau declined by 6 percent.

The White House said various budget allocations had been made for new barracks, supply complexes, training centers, runways and maintenance facilities as part of the modernization of military bases in Alaska.

The statement said $208 million had been allocated for new barracks at Fort Wainwright, $152 million for the next phase of the training center at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and $46 million for a supply complex at the same base. Various infrastructure and planning allocations for Eielson Air Force Base and Fort Wainwright were also listed.

The White House also said $2.6 billion was planned for Alaska under the fiscal year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act passed by the U.S. House of Representatives. The statement said a $7 billion multi-year “Fighter Town USA” modernization project was planned to be launched at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, with the project aiming to construct 26 new facilities and create up to 4,000 private-sector jobs.

In its statement, the White House described these policies as steps supporting economic growth, energy production and military capacity in Alaska.
